I knew I wanted to make stickers inspired by some of my favorite toy designs, the Playmates 1988 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles figures. Details: The Asian-American fish markets from my childhood inspired this fun design. For this piece, I wanted to explore water and metal materials as well as simulating ice. I designed all the CG and 2D assets; I worked with my friend, Ken Quemel, to bring the fish to life. 2021.

Details: 2021 marked an increase in crimes committed against Asian-Americans. I wanted to create something for social media to inspire people during that bleak time. Details: Having worked with them in the past, Sunkist reached out to me with a new animated project proposal. They wanted to bring both of their sister cooperatives (Sunkist Growers and Fruit Growers Supply) closer together. This would be the first time that both cooperatives will be working under one mission and one set of values. My task included defining the art style and storyboarding their values; I was able to handpick my friend, Jason, to help bring the project to life with his Aftereffects experience. 2020.

Details: This was exploration work done for Lil Nas X’s debut virtual performance on the Roblox platform. Originally, the theme of the event/branding would be based on the idea from his video, Panini, which evokes a futuristic Neo-Tokyo/vaporwave aesthetic.
